Our Impact

Support of Existing Schools

In addition to establishing new school, Andino International also supports and renovates existing schools. This support entails providing schools with educational materials such as text books, paper and writing utilizes.

In our search for communities that do not have appropriate educational infrastructure, we often come across existing schools which were in dire need of structural repair or did not have funding to provide their students with the necessary educational materials to learn; schools lacking pencils for each student and limited paper, or textbooks. As a result we expanded our mission to help aid these schools.

Schools in Focus

Cerrito de Huacsapata is a small single classroom public school located in the foothills of Arequipa. The government run classroom is packed to the brim with students, but lacks text books. We revisited the school in October of this year and brought with us school supplies for each of the students and new shoes!

Nueve Jeruselum is a school that is run by one of our partner organizations, the Bruce Organization. The community is situated on the dunes overlooking the city of Trujillo. The school itself is in desperate need of renovation. The school house consists of three walls with a open sand floor and a plastic tarp tied overhead to provide some shelter.
